MySpace Terrorism

On one of my other websites, MySpace users have been hyperlinking the hell out of my images. I see atleast 2-3k images being access a day from MySpace alone. I don’t
care about people hyperlinking on occasion, but I seriously hate MySpace — Deeply, Deeply, Deeply hate MySpace…

Anyways, to fight against these rude MySpacers, I built this quick .htaccess rule to redirect *.myspace.com to a gag image.

RewriteEngine on
# URI path of Image to Send to MySpace (So .htaccess doesn’t loop)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/images/myspace.jpg [NC]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} ^(.*).myspace.com [NC]
# URL of image to send to MySpace
RewriteRule .(gif|jpg|png)$ http://www..com/images/myspace.jpg [R,L]

Simple, Yet effective. I think my next round of attacks will be a little more obnoxious. — But in the meantime, Webmasters, do what you can to fight the war against MySpace Bandwidth Terrorist — Geroge Bush will thank you!

I think Alex’s image was a little more to the point, but I can’t find it now.
