i ship lots of UPS (a few thousand a month), they will refund for sure. in fact if you call, they usually bend over backwards for you.

I work at the us’s largest ground hub. Trust me I know it is a pain in the a$$ to get a package missorted. I had one that went to the right center and then was sent to another center instead of being sent for local delivery. By the time I realized it, I had my car taken apart in anticipation of recieving my part. But the truth is that only about .25% of packages are missorted in every hub/center.
